Who we are
Crossbord is a Danish specialist firm combining cross-border tax advisory with payroll execution for businesses where Denmark is part of the equation. We work with foreign employers, HR Directors, Global Mobility Managers, and CFOs who need a single provider that both advises and delivers: not a firm that hands off compliance to a separate payroll bureau.
We handle Danish payroll for foreign employers, cross-border tax compliance, social security coordination, A1 certificates, and the full range of obligations that arise when employees move into or out of Denmark. That includes eIndkomst reporting, SE number registration, forskerskatteordningen applications, permanent establishment analysis, and year-end reconciliation across jurisdictions.
We are based in Aalborg and have been operating in this field since 2006.
What we do
We combine two things that most providers separate: the tax analysis that determines what a cross-border situation requires, and the payroll and compliance execution that follows from it.
That means we run the payroll, file the returns, communicate with SKAT, and handle authority correspondence directly. We do not advise and then hand off.
Why it matters
Most cross-border compliance problems surface late: at year-end reconciliation, when an A1 certificate is challenged, or when SKAT issues a notice. By that point, the cost of correction is significantly higher than the cost of getting it right from the start.
Our clients do not need to coordinate between an adviser in one country and a payroll bureau in another. We hold both.

Our clients are businesses with employees moving into or out of Denmark: foreign companies employing Danish-resident staff without a Danish entity, multinationals managing internationally mobile workforces, and Danish companies sending employees abroad.
We work extensively in the maritime, offshore, and energy sectors, where offshore operations in Danish waters trigger day-one social security obligations and flag-state rules that standard payroll bureaus cannot handle. We also work with companies in technology, manufacturing, and finance, and with the HR, crewing, and finance teams that own compliance accountability within those organisations.
Our direct clients are always employers, not individual employees. The decision-makers we work with are typically HR Directors, Global Mobility Managers, Heads of Crewing, CFOs, and Payroll Managers who are accountable for getting cross-border compliance right and need a specialist they can rely on.

If you visit our office on Hobrovej 42D (3rd floor, right door) by car and need to park,
there is a dedicated space in front of our main entrance door with free parking for 15 minutes and thereafter the option for paid parking.
